It is located in a superb setting within the Llantysilio Mountain Range, with undisturbed views of the open countryside, on the outskirts of the village of Carrog, which lies on the banks of the River Dee, near the beautiful town of Llangollen home of the Royal International Pavilion which hosts the International Eisteddfod and the Llangollen to Carrog Steam Railway.

This is a small select site above Denbigh with beautiful views of the Clwydian Range. Medieval Denbigh is 4 miles away and the market town of Ruthin is 6 miles. The breathtaking lake Brenig with fishing, water sports, picnics and walking 7 miles away in Forestry Commission land. The lake is accessed across Denbigh moors. July 2000 saw the arrival of Kath and Alan Welch to Caer Mynydd when the owners retires.

There are male & female toilets, an outside water tap, chemical disposal point, and 15 electric hook-ups. There is also an outside sink for washing dishes etc. We have 20 hard standings, and a road around the site. This makes it an ideal all-weather site.
