The cottage enjoys an open coal fire. Coal can be ordered in advance for the open fire and will be available on your arrival (small bags can be purchased locally at the shops). 

Bedrooms
Both bedrooms are on the upstairs floor and access is gained from a winding type stair. One bedroom contains one double bed, bedside cabinet with lamp, double wardrobe and dressing table. In the other bedroom you will find 2 single beds, bedside cabinet and lamp, dressing table and double wardrobe. A hairdryer is to be found in one of the drawers in the dressing table. Mattress protectors, duvets and pillows are supplied for each bed.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully fitted and contains oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and is extremely well equipped with crockery and utensils. You will also find cleaning materials under the sink. The electric immerser switch is located on the rear wall beside the window. The table is a gate leg type with folding chairs and are kept under the table.

Sitting Room
The sitting room contains a two/three seater sofa, two fireside chairs, colour television, CD Micro System, and has an open fire. The fireguard should be used at all times. Timber should not be used as the fire does not facilitate burning logs. The central heating and or hot water system operates from the open fire and by following the instruction in the cottage you can obtain heating for the radiators and water or only heat the water if desired.

Shower Room
The shower room contains an electric 8.5kw 'Mira' shower and folding door to cubicle, wash hand basin, WC, electric wall mounted pull cord convector heater and ceiling extractor fan. Please use the fan while using the shower.

Essential groceries can be arranged to be supplied if required for your arrival (eggs, milk, bread etc). Please indicate on the booking form. Coal can be ordered in advance for the open fire and will be available on your arrival (small bags can be purchased at the shops).
Visitors to Rowan Cottage are asked to provide their own bed linen and towels. Rowan cottage provides duvets and pillows. The Accommodation consists of two bedrooms, dining kitchen, sitting room and shower room.
