Ardsheal House was originally built in the early 16th century, but was destroyed by fire as a result of the 1745 uprising. It was then rebuilt around 1760 by the son of Charles Stewart of Ardsheal, from the Stewart of Appin Clan. The oak-panelled hall, with its unique barrel window and open fire, provides a warm welcome into the Sutherland family home.

Appin Home Farm overlooks Loch Linnhe with magnificent views to the Isles of Mull, Lismore and Shuna. Recently renovated from stables and coach houses, the house is tastefully decorated and furnished. The large dining room has large picture windows looking out towards the loch.
