Áras Mhuire is located in the outskirts of Listowel on the main road (R553) leading to Ballybunion. It is a member of the Town and Country Homes Association and has Quality Approved status. The house, set in a large mature garden, has been recommended by the Irish Independent. Listowel, with a population of around 4000 people, is situated on the right bank of the Feale, a slow meandering river which provides a tranquil picturesque backdrop to the town.
