Norfolk is a low-lying county in East Anglia in the east of southern England. It has borders with Lincolnshire to the west, Cambridgeshire to the west and southwest and with Suffolk to the south. Norfolk is the fifth largest ceremonial county in England, with an area of 5,371 km² (2,074 sq mi). Acle is a small market town on the River Bure in Norfolk within The Broads National Park. It is located halfway between Norwich and Great Yarmouth and has the only bridge across the River Bure between Wroxham and Great Yarmouth. The civil parish has an area of 9.46 square kilometres and in 2001 had a population of 2732.

Aylsham is a historic market town and civil parish on the River Bure in North Norfolk. The river rises near Aylsham and continues to Great Yarmouth and the North Sea, although it was only navigable after 1779, allowing corn, coal and timber to be brought up river.

Diss is a town (population 6742[1]) on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in. It lies in the valley of the River Waveney, around a mere (lake) that covers 6 acres (24,000 m²). The mere is up to 18 feet (5 m) deep (although there is another 51 feet (16 m) of mud, making it one of the deepest natural inland lakes in England). The town may take its name from the Saxon term for lake, or from an old Viking word meaning 'village of the dancing horse'.

It situated on the River Wensum, some 30 km north-east of the larger town of King's Lynn, 30 km south-west of the seaside resort of Cromer, and 40 km north-west of the city of Norwich. King's Lynn is a town and port in Norfolk, England. Over the years, the town has been known variously as Bishop's Lynn and Lynn Regis, while it is occasionally referred to by locals as simply Lynn—the Celtic word for lake.  King's Lynn is the third largest settlement in Norfolk after the city of Norwich and the town of Great Yarmouth. Sandringham House, the Norfolk residence of the British Royal Family, is 6 miles (9.7 km) north-east of King's Lynn.

Watton is a market town in the district of Breckland within the English county of Norfolk. It is situated on the crossroads of the A1075 Dereham-Thetford road and the B1108 Brandon-Norwich Road, about 25 miles west of Norwich. The civil parish covers an area of 7.2 km² with about 6,800 inhabitants.

Wells-next-the-Sea, known locally simply as Wells, is a town, civil parish and seaport situated on the North Norfolk coast in England. The civil parish has an area of 16.31 km² and in the 2001 census had a population of 2,451

Walsham is a market town and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is within the North Norfolk district, and is situated some 12 km south of Cromer and the same distance north of Wroxham. The city of Norwich lies 30 km to the south. The civil parish has an area of 17.27 km² and in the 2001 census had a population of 11998.

Wroxham is a small town and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It situated on the south side of the River Bure, within the Norfolk Broads, and some eight miles north-east of Norwich. Wroxham Broad lies about one mile downstream to the southeast. On the northern side of the Bure is Hoveton. The civil parish has an area of 6.21 square kilometres and in 2001 had a population of 1532

Wymondham is an historic market town and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It lies 9 miles (14 km) to the south west of the city of Norwich, on the A11 road to Thetford and London.


Great Yarmouth, often known to locals simply as Yarmouth, is an English coastal town in the county of Norfolk. It is situated at the mouth of the River Yare, some 30km east of the city of Norwich and 18 km north of the Suffolk town of Lowestoft. Great Yarmouth has been a seaside resort since 1760, and is the gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the sea. For hundreds of years it has been a fishing port dependent on the herring fishery, and today it services the offshore oil rigs. The town has a popular beach and two promenades popular with locals and tourists. The town itself is actually on a thin spit of land sandwiched between the North Sea and River Yare. It is home to the historic rows and the main tourist sector on the seafront.
